Job Description

Job Context

  • Duty Station: Head Office in Banani, Dhaka with field visits if required.


  • Planning Phase:
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management and client.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  • Review the project schedule with senior management and team managers; revise the schedule as required.
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
  • Guide Project people/engineer cum Monitoring Officer for preparing report format and required documentation as per project need.
  • Contributing to developing and preparing monitoring tools, formats, quantitative and qualitative reports, performance indicators/checklists to assess programme activities with timelines and milestones.
  • Implementation Phase:
  • Execute the project according to the project plan.
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities.
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update all the relevant stakeholders on the progress of the project.
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
  • Ensuring maintenance of records of monitoring related document and involve in the design phase of Monitoring and Evaluation related process.
  • Control Phase:
  • Prepare summary reports on the project for senior management and client as per project charter.
  • Communicate with all the stakeholders as needed.
  • Manage resources (time, money, equipment, etc).
  • Ensure that all documentation for the projects are up to date.
  • Evaluate the projects.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
  • Evaluate appropriate project M&E frameworks, M&E plan capturing indicators in line with the logical frameworks of projects that ensure the annual project reviews, project process, outcomes.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation in CSE, Business or relevant disciplines from a reputed university. (MBA Preferred).

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of (2-4) years of work experience in ICT/Software project management.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with ICT4D and/or IT sector experience.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical background.
  • Knowledge of global ICT4D trends and topics.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal to manage relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • End to end software project management experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, Microsoft Visio, Project Management tools.
